Please leave a phone message on 07904226862, or use the Contact page.

I contact you

I aim to reply within 24 hours Monday - Friday for an informal chat and to arrange a date and time for an assessment.

Assessment

We discuss your needs and reasons for seeking counselling and look at a counselling contract.  It also gives you a flavour of what sessions may be like and that you feel comfortable working with me.  If you feel this is not right for you, you are not committed to go any further.

Fee: £30

Sessions

You choose how long you would like a session

to last: either

  £50 for adults/£45 students for 50 minutes.

or

  £55 for adults/£50 students for 60 minutes.

Working together we regularly review our sessions and your goals to check you are happy with our work together.

Ending our contract

You can end whenever is right for you. Ideally we have 2 sessions prior to the end of our contract, allowing us time to review and consider your next steps, post counselling.

FAQ's

What is an assessment?

An informal chat where we discuss your reasons for counselling at this time and agree on a counselling contract. It is also a chance for us to meet so you can decide whether you feel comfortable working with me.

How do I pay for the sessions?

I ask for payment 48 hours before the session through a bank transfer; or cash / card payment at the beginning of the session.

What happens if I can’t make an appointment?

I ask for a 48 hours notice, otherwise the session fee applies.

What happens if there is an emergency on the day?

Please contact me via email or phone as soon as you know you are unable to make our session. I will call you back to discuss whether we are able to find another mutually convenient time.

Can we have online sessions?

Yes.

Can we work online and face to face?

Ideally, we choose one or other. However, circumstances change and this is something we can discuss during contracting and/or sessions.

What is contracting?

This is the contract we discuss at the beginning and sign to indicate we are both happy with the way we will work together.  For example, time, place, fee.

How many sessions do we have?

This is discussed in our Assessment session. There is no set number.

What happens if I wish to end the sessions?

You can end whenever you like. I ask for two sessions notice so we are able to discuss the ending and review our time together.

Where can I find out further information about counselling?

I would hope we can discuss any matters that arise for you in our sessions. However, I am a member of the BACP and on their website www.bacp.org you can learn how you can 'Get Help with Counselling Concerns.'
